Trust Employability Services
Trust Employability Services offer a range of support and training services to people who are unemployed or in a low-paid job - preparing individuals to secure and sustain employment or to help improve their position whilst in work.
There are different ways to access our services:
If you are currently unemployed and not already registered with us, then please follow the process as set out below. You can view the range of personal development, work focussed & vocational training options available here.
If you are currently working and not already registered with us, you can view and register online for our current in-work training and skills development options.
Please note that you will be asked to provide acceptable evidence of your personal details & employment or unemployment status in order to comply with current ESF/ERDF 2014-2020 funding requirements.

Advice on application forms, CV preparation, training opportunities and general advice are available at any of our offices in Greenock, John Wood Street and Port Glasgow Business & Training Centre.

Once you register with Trust Employability Services you will be allocated an Employment Support Worker who will guide you through all the services available to you.
Work Focus Sessions
You will receive practical assistance to prepare/update CV and access resource materials with tutor support.
CV Workshop (digital)
You should have basic keyboard and mouse control skills to attend this workshop. All CVs will be developed using an online CV builder within My World of Work. Tutor support available.
Online Application Workshop
You will receive practical assistance to complete online application forms and access resource materials. You should have basic keyboard and mouse control skills to attend this workshop. Tutor support available.
Interview Skills Assistance
Available on request should you require any assistance preparing for potential interviews.
Basic Digital Job Search
You will be supported with digital job search activities, set up and manage your email account and access online services linked to Universal Jobmatch. We can support you to register and navigate this site which will enable you to create and post a CV, create a profile/profiles for a variety of jobs and get updates on jobs you are interested in.
Any clients requiring intensive support in either navigating through the online process or uploading forms to emails are invited to attend other Basic IT courses within The Trust (see below).

Trust Employability Services are supported with input from Financial Fitness and Inverclyde Council Community Learning & Development Team.
